COLOR HARMONY

Creating visual interest + order

Color harmony in garden design refers to the strategic use of color to create a balanced, pleasing, and aesthetically cohesive outdoor space. It involves selecting and arranging plants and hardscape elements in ways that complement each other and enhance the overall visual appeal of the garden.

.....

Though we often associate color with plants, it's important to consider the entire space including all hardscapes (like paving, arbors, walls)...plus existing architecture.

.....

Achieving color harmony can be challenging. Overuse of colors can lead to overwhelming designs, while clashing colors can detract from your intended concept. In this garden design guide we'll discuss how you can narrow in on a color palette, while keeping it simple and focused.
